Mentor’s

Mentors in more ways than one can be catalysts to your career, life, and future success. This mantra isn’t anything new, we’ve all heard it time and time again without truly knowing what makes it so significant. At least that’s the case until you’ve experienced it yourself.

Last week, running into one of my mentors I was reminded of the significance she’d played in shaping the person I am today. On a personal level, she knows more about me, my struggles, my pains, my successes, and my insecurities than even my mother and father. On a professional level, she’s taught me to remain humble, hungry, and above all content.

I don’t think I could repay my debt to her in a lifetime, but I can sure as hell being to pay it forward. No one knows the impact they’ll have on another person’s life, and the goal should never be to do just that. From my experience the best mentors are first and foremost not teachers, they are listeners, truth tellers, and cheerleaders.

  1. Mentors can make a big difference in your life. They often give great insight into your field. They have information about life too. You can learn a lot from a mentor.
